This post is about how to stay motivated when moving in your purpose.
Have you ever gotten an idea that you’ve gotten so fired up to start but midway through the process you’ve stopped? We have all been there, even myself. Procrastination is something we’ve all struggled with at least once in our lives but it’s not impossible to overcome.
In today’s blog post I will be talking about how to stay motivated when you feel like giving up. Any goal that you’ve created is attainable, and with hard work and dedication, you will see yourself at the finish line.
One of the most beautiful things about being a human is our brain. And in our brain, we can jot down anything from remembering past events of our lives to how we visualize where we are going in the future. It’s also the commander of our actions, which is why you often hear to be mindful of what your listening to or visualizing because it can either make or break you.
So all and all that I am saying here is, is that it’s all in your mind. If you want to overcome a lack of motivation whether you’re trying to write a book, jumpstart your business, or even post YouTube videos online then you have to develop the discipline to push through it.
Here are some tactics that I use to stay motivated when trying to achieve my goals for the day:
- Listen to some music while finishing a task
- Clear away any distractions, such as TV, phone, etc.
- Keep a clean environment, a clean environment equals a clear headspace
- Set up a reward that’s only obtainable at the finishing of a task.
If you haven’t noticed all examples above have a direct correlation with the brain. Music helps with thought distraction and clutter-free space helps us focus (and overall feel better). If okay if you can’t do all the tactics I listed above but I can guarantee that choosing one of them to follow can make a difference.
No matter what task or goal you plan to accomplish, here’s what I don’t want you to do: give up. Giving up is the easy way out, and you’ll never live your dreams without facing the challenge head-on. Live for your dreams today not tomorrow.

This process is similar to the climb of a ladder. I am here to encourage you to keep going, even when it’s hard. Not having to drive to accomplish a goal is normal and it’s a part of the process but only those who fight through the pain, while climbing up that ladder are the ones that reach up to the top. So, sis, you have to ask yourself this, will you be the one who lets go of the ladder and falls, or will you be the one that pushes yourself to keep going until you get what you want?
Be hungry for what you want.
